Man, who do you pick for Offensive Player of the week when the offense scores this many points? Ryan Vena, Jim Jones, R.J. "The Kid" Harvey? They all had a great game! But one play just sticks in my head as what Conquest Football is all about! Manwell "The Man" Talbert carried their whole team for about 20 yards on one catch alone! The man is a monster! If Ryan Vena is the Heart Beat of this team, Manwell Talbert is the Heart! The man brings the big hit and the hard catch every game! He is totally an awesome all around football player and I personally watched him interact with the fans, and face it, that is what the AF2 should be all about.
Congratulations Manwell on being our first Offensive Player of the Week in 2006! Keep up the great work!
I'm thinking when they came up with the titles for positions in AF2, they really weren't thinking of Brandon Tinson. I mean, specialist? Specialist is a word you think of when you think of a marksman or a dancer. What Brandon Tinson does is quite the opposite: HE KNOCKS GUYS HEADS OFF! Pure, Hardcore, Hammerin, Slammin, Rippin your helmet off and hoping your head is still in it hitting!
Brandon has and will always be one of the hardest hitters in the AF2. His total lack of regard for his own safety when he launches his body at the opponent is unmatched!
It's plain and simple, the Albany Conquest are a much better team with guys like Brandon on the Roster.
